Dr. Marty Gleason
Hello, I’m Dr. Marty Gleason, one of the dentists here at the Fairfield Dental Clinic. I have been in Fairfield since 1983, when I began practicing dentistry with Dr. Steve Van Tasell and Dr. L. B. Carter, with Dr. Carter retiring in 1984. I am originally from LaHarpe, Illinois, where I grew up on a farm, and graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1976. I graduated from Millikin University in 1979, and Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D. degree in 198 3.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, Southeast Iowa District Dental Society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Fairfield Lions Club, and the Fairfield Dental Society. I have served as an officer in many of these organizations. I am also a member and elder of the Fairfield First Presbyterian Church.
My wife, Julie, and I were married in 1982. She is a kindergarten teacher at Washington Elementary School here in Fairfield. We have two children, Scott, who is a sophomore at Drake University, and Emily, who is a senior at Fairfield High School and planning to attend Iowa State University in the fall. We enjoy attending our kid’s activities, gardening, fishing, golf, and a good novel to read. I’ve always been a history buff and have worked in many capacities to improve our local schools.
I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your dental needs!
